Her actual audition barely made it on-screen and though there was a smattering of Allison through out Hollywood Week, most of us didn’t get our first taste of her until her Semi-Finals week performance. Dismissed by most as cannon-fodder, her performance of Alone by Heart instantly set her apart and marked her as one of the season’s must-watch Dark Horse.

- Alone had been previously performed to much acclaim by Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, making the choice to perform the song a bold and risky move.
- Allison was the top voted female on her Semi-Final week
- Simon Cowell named her the best performance of the night, marking it as one of the few outright compliments she would receive from him during her season.
